Why Perperikon?

Perperikon is one of the most significant archaeological sites in the Balkans, believed to have been a sacred sanctuary and political center for the Thracians. It is thought to be the location of the famous Temple of Dionysus, where ancient prophecies rivaled those of Delphi. Its strategic position and rich layers of history—from prehistoric times to the Middle Ages—make it a key symbol of Bulgaria’s cultural heritage.
